I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for the support you have shown over the years.  Because of your commitment to the children that we serve, we have been able to provide over $7 million in financial support to some of the nation’s leading children’s charities.  In addition, we have provided advocacy and program support for critical initiatives such as the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital, Make-A-Wish visits, marrow donor recruitment and advancements in cord blood research and treatment.
 
We are proud of our success to date, but we know we can do more.  After much thought, we have determined that the best way to impact the lives of children is to focus our efforts on the number one disease-killer of children - cancer.
 
In order to positively impact outcomes for the thousands of children diagnosed each year, we will seek out and support the most promising research and treatment programs available.  We will also continue to establish partnerships with organizations that provide patient support programs that assist families of children with cancer throughout the challenges of diagnosis and treatment.

Finally, we will continue our work with the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center - NorthEast.  Now in its third year, the hospital continues to provide the highest level of primary and specialty pediatric care in Concord, North Carolina.  We are proud to support a healthcare facility equipped with advanced medical technology, staffed by extraordinarily talented and caring medical professionals and nationally recognized for excellence.
